The N-Power Programme is a Federal Government initiative designed to curb the high rate of unemployment in the Nigerian economy. The programme is aimed at empowering unemployed graduates and non-graduates with resources and skills to enable them to advance from unemployment to employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

About N-Power Programme
The programme will be a platform for diversifying the Nigerian economy and preparing unemployed Nigerians citizens for a knowledge economy where equipped with world-class skills and certification, they become innovators and movers in the domestic and global markets. With the invention of the program, Nigerian economy will have a pool of software developers, graphic artists, hardware service professionals, building services professionals, and equipping them with relevant technical and business skills to start their own business as a real and viable career option. In summation, N-Power is segmented as follows:

1) N-Power Volunteer Corps- 500,000 graduates
2) N-Power Knowledge – 25,000 non-graduates
3) N-Power Build- 75,000 non-graduates

General Requirements:

The programme seeks to provide a platform where unemployed citizens can access skills acquisition and development. Presently, the initial modular programmes in N-Power are designed for Nigerian citizens between 18 to 35 years. Must have a BSC/HND degree certificate from any recognized institution. Generally, the selection is based:

  • On your expression of a genuine interest in whichever area you decide;
  • Passing the relevant tests;
  • Your willingness to push yourself beyond your comfort zone; and
  • Ability to show a flair to develop all the skills you need to be the best you can be.

We want you to take ownership of the process and take the lead in shaping your route, by making the most of the training that you will receive.

N-Power Recruitment Programmes

N-Power Volunteer Corps:
The N-Power Volunteer Corps is a segment of the N-Power programme which has been set out to engage and train 500,000 young unemployed.

N-Power Knowledge:
The N-Power Knowledge programme is the Federal Government’s first step towards diversifying to a knowledge economy.

NPower Build:
NPower Build is an accelerated training and certification programme that will engage and train 75,000 young unemployed Nigerians.

The N-Power Teach programme:
The N-Power Teach programme will engage qualified graduates for the benefit of basic education delivery in Nigeria. We will engage them as teachers in primary and secondary schools around Nigeria.

N-Power Agro Programme:
One of the ways that the Federal Government plans to diversify our economy is attaining self-sufficiency in producing the food we consume.
