Etisalat End Contract, Gives Three Week Ultimatum For Brand Phase Out: The Etisalat Group has terminated its management agreement with Nigerian and demanded that the use of its brand be phased out after three weeks. This was disclosed by the chief executive of Etisalat International, Hatem Dowidar who stated this on Monday that there was no need for the brand in Nigeria after the restructuring of a $1.2bn loan failed.
He further stated that. “Etisalat Nigeria will provide technical support and that its brand can be used for another three weeks before it is phased out.” The decision for Etisalat to pull out of Nigeria has been predicted to cause a catastrophic effect on the populace as million of Nigerians are subscribed to the network.
